Since it’s Christmas Eve there’s no comic, but here’s the image I used for this years Xmas card!

Happy Holidays! <3

I have never had much leisure time at the Memphis airport before, so this is the first time I've noticed that the terminals have an upper deck, perfect for watching planes land.

PARTY TIME! It’s kinda appropriate since it’s the holidays?

I will be taking the 24th and 25th off, so… see the 26th!

As someone pointed out on my Facebook yesterday, there are 9 more days until this is all over!

Let me tell ya, I cannot wait!
Next year I am forgoing Stressmas.
Honestly, lets face the facts here. I've been determined to try not to use the word Christmas for awhile, anytime you see me write it, its usually spelled "XMAS". I'm not Christian, but I admit I do like getting gifts, shelfish and shallow...maybe.
I do like to give gifts, though. But my gifts are either from the heart or from the hand, barring that they are really unique or unusual. Since times is tight this year, not many folks are going to get Stressmas presents.
Be thankful if you receive one...and not just from me - from anyone.

Work has been challenging over the past couple of weeks.
Having to rearrange plans to accomodate last minute training that was just dropped in my lap, long hours, sometimes not even overtime hours due to furlough, and an all around feeling of being put out. This just kind of takes a toll on a person. The training was horrible in and of itself. It's just sad when the people who are teaching you don't know what the hell they are doing, not to mention the new system is buggy as hell. So between bad training and buggy system, you don't know if you screwed something up or if its a malfunction when something doesn't turn out like it is supposed to.

Home life has been stressful as well.
Kyle and I have had some problems of our own. And it seems like a freaking roller coaster ride. One day things will be good then the next its something else...up and down. It is taking my patience and stability for a ride. I honestly can't remember how many times felonous thoughts have come to mind. But ultimately, planning out the dirty deed is more effort than I can really expect at the momment from myself.
I'll surely mess up, get caught, and go to jail.
Then where would I be - in jail.

I am determined this new year will be better.

I think I may stay off my allergy meds so that my nose stays stuffed up.
When I can't smell, it seems I'm less likly to eat.
When I'm less likely to eat, I'm less likly to over-indulge.
Perfict logic.

I am going to learn 2 new languages this year - at least well enough to put them to use.
I should already know them, but I don't.

Studio is in desperate need of remodel. Thinking of working on that this holiday.
I still have lots and lots of projects that I want to accomplish and not having an organized space is preventing me from making any head way on them. This must be fixed.

Also, I am the manager of a musician...I am excited to see what will come of this.
I believe this guy has great potential, be on the look out for Ken Pickett.

Anyone want a sofa...It would be perfict for many reasons. Cover not included.
Eitherway, its going.
Moving the piano as well, to the inside wall.

Have been wedding planning, but it seems as if nothing is really getting planned or accomplished.

Highlight of the week: I sold something on CafePress.

The week between Christmas and New Year's is traditionally the lowest-traffic week of the year for my site, and I'm gonna be out of town anyway, so I thought I might try something a little different this year. Here's a teaser for my idea:

I've already got the basic idea for the story and will hopefully start working on it before we drive down to Maryland (one advantage of driving down is I can actually bring my big Cintiq with me) for the holiday. Of course, going over my outline and idea list, this might end up being MORE work than the usual QC strips >.<

So uh I no promises yet I guess, but hopefully I won't puss out and will actually get this done.

I did a guest comic a while back for Left-Handed Toons (by right handed people). It was a short one called "Meaning of Life" that I wrote about 2 years ago and never really used. So I used it for that. Here is the LEFT HANDED strip.

That took way too long to make with my left hand!! JEsus did it ever! Before I used it for a guest comic, tho, I originally wanted to re-draw it for another project that fell through. I had penciled it out normally, but never inked it. After I did the guest strip, I decided to go back to those pencils and finish it up, so I could see it as I normally imagined it. So here it is again, as done with my RIGHT HAND.

Woa! Mama I will never be ambidextrous!! More comics tomorrow!!

Well, I'm home. Bryan & Ganon are not; they're still in Dallas staying with the Texas Grandminions. I had to come home because I have to work today.

It's a little depressing that I'll be entirely alone for most of Christmas week. It wouldn't be much different if the boys were here because I'm working; when I'm doing a run of 3 12-hour shifts in a row, I hardly do anything except sleep and work. It makes me feel very alone regardless of whether there's anyone here or not.

Met Q in Memphis yesterday. We hit Sephora (I GOT THE COOLEST EYELINER EVER) & Ulta (Burt's Bees almond milk salve for my hands) & Wendy's before she headed home to get some sleep and I drove to Whole Foods. My Christmas gift to myself, since I do not have Bryan or Ganon this week, is nice work lunches. I got myself some apples, peanut butter, cheese, bread, and several of their pre-prepared, refrigerated dishes. I'm going to put together cute little lunches so I have something really nice every night at work.

This week & next week are my last nights on the orthopedic floor. After that I move to the ICU, where I will be orienting on days for a short while, then back to nights. I'm nervous!

Still playing Gowalla. I get "into" a lot of internet things, but I can tell when one of them "clicks" with me and will remain a mainstay of my internet presence. Livejournal (took me about 2 months to warm up), Twitter (INSTANT LOVE), and Gowalla (instant obsession) are 3 of those.

Off to eat a peanut butter & jelly on challah bread.

I did a banner for this blog right here for [info]spydabass  and I wanted to post a larger version of the main part here. Sean gave me a load of albums to redraw and work into the picture, so I chose 10 and redrew them. Not all of them are super amazingly redrawn, but here they are as well!!! All albums picked by him. I just had to draw them, and in some cases, not draw them. It's a wonderful world of freelance!!
